Employable Me - Creating your Career Ticket Options

Thursday, March 12, 2020 18:00 Hari’s Bar

Employable Me Week culminates in this first-time event featuring a panel of Surrey alumni who were involved with clubs and societies or held a part-time role within the Students' Union during their time at University. These ex-students have now either gone on to begin a successful career or have started their own business, utilising key skills gained through volunteering.

Hear about what they achieved at Surrey, the challenges they faced and how they took the skills gained into interviews and beyond. You'll have the chance to pose questions to the alumni and can network with them afterwards. It's interactions like these that will give you a headstart above others in a competitive job market or maybe the inspiration to kickstart your own business.

*Upon arrival you'll be given a glass of prosecco (soft drink alternative will be available) and post-panel we'll have free food and drink for you to enjoy while you network with the alumni and other students.*

*As well as free food and drink, if your club or society get 10 students to come along then you will be given 10 free Varsity t-shirts*
